Georgia Overland
North Georgia's Blue Ridge is a green, water-rich introduction to Southern overlanding — forest-service roads, waterfalls, and long ridgeline runs.
Region
Blue Ridge & Chattahoochee National Forest
Best Season
Spring through Fall
Difficulty
Beginner to Intermediate
The southern end of the Appalachians, North Georgia offers some of the most accessible and scenic overlanding in the Southeast. The Chattahoochee National Forest is laced with maintained and primitive forest-service roads that wind through hardwood canopy, past waterfalls, and up to long Blue Ridge ridgelines.
Our Georgia trips suit newer overlanders and families as well as seasoned travelers — a mix of relaxed forest-road touring and optional more technical spurs, with camp under the trees and easy access from Atlanta and the wider Southeast.
