The Lexus GX 460 (2010–2023) is the Land Cruiser Prado 150 in luxury form: body-on-frame, full-time 4WD with a Torsen center differential and rear locker availability, a solid rear axle, and the smooth 4.6L 1UR-FE V8. KDSS and, on later trucks, crawl control and multi-terrain select make it deeply capable from the factory — and its long production run means parts and aftermarket support are excellent.
The GX 460 has become the default modern overland build, and we treat it as a premium platform. Suspension systems that lift and firm the soft factory ride while respecting KDSS, front and rear armor, full skid protection, dual-battery and lighting builds, and clean storage integration.
