FJ60 / FJ62
The 60 Series (1980–1990) was the moment the Land Cruiser grew up. Still leaf-sprung and solid-axled like the 40 before it, the FJ60 wrapped that proven mechanicals in a roomy, comfortable wagon body with real seats, real heat, and room for the whole family. The early FJ60 used the carbureted 2F; the later FJ62 (1988–1990) introduced fuel injection and an automatic, smoothing the truck out considerably.
These are some of the best-loved overland platforms ever built. We restore tired 60s to better-than-new, sort out the common cooling, electrical, and carburetor headaches, and build them into capable, comfortable long-distance trucks. Modern suspension, brake upgrades, and a thoughtful interior turn a 60 Series into a vehicle you can cross a continent in.
